Fingerprinting
Fee Information
Applicant (non-criminal) fingerprinting can be done at any time. There is no residency requirement, however the fee increases if you are not a Plymouth city resident. The fee for residents is $5 and for all non-residents of the city it is $15. (Credit cards are not accepted.)  Cash, check or money order for the exact amount is preferred, as officer's have no way of making change after business hours.

The fee is paid at the Cashier’s Office for the City of Plymouth and then the records personnel will notify an officer.

LiveScan
New: LiveScan (electronically submitted) fingerprinting is now available for applicable Michigan reason codes (school employment, Michigan bar license, etc.) In order to use LiveScan, you must go to a LiveScan facility. You can contact Identex at (866) 226-2952 to set up an appointment and for their locations.

When LiveScan is not applicable, traditional inked fingerprints will be taken and provided to you immediately afterwards. Michigan State Police Applicant and Personal Identification Card RI-008 or FBI Applicant FD-258 will be provided to you, unless you provide a different card.

Rejected Fingerprint Card
If you were fingerprinted by the City of Plymouth Police Department and the prints were subsequently rejected, our fee will be waived if you bring in the rejected fingerprint card or the receipt previously issued.
