Riverside Cemetery is located on Plymouth Road west of Haggerty Road behind the 35th District Courthouse located at:
660 Plymouth Road
Plymouth, MI 48170

Riverside Cemetery is set amongst 12 acres of wooded hills in Hines Park. A small portion of the cemetery was established in 1880 after the smaller York / Pearl Street cemetery reached capacity.

Riverside Cemetery provides a dual head spigot located in the back of the cemetery for visitors to water flowers. The water station is at the South end of Block G.

History
As the City’s population grew so did the need for cemetery space. Additional property was then purchased by the city in the early 1920s. Many prominent figures from Plymouth’s history are buried at the cemetery, including: the first female judge and members of founding families like the Blunk’s, the Starkweather’s, and the Wilcox’s

There are veterans from the Civil War, the Vietnam War, the Korean War, World War I, and World War II. Each year for Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day the cemetery staff places a United States flag on each veteran’s grave in remembrance of their service.
